Actually it was 78f (25.5c) and humid. Spanish moss has a wintry look. It is dead grey and quite dry. They used to steam it and then stuff mattresses with it.
The German wikipedia says the mattress stuffing was problematic since bugs love to live in Spanish moss. The English wikipeda does not mention this, ;-) However, no Spanish moss around here.
Looks winterly to me - even though I know it's not.
