False peaks and all.

We returned to the Foret des Cedres and decided to finally try the harder trail. We had mistakenly taken this trail the first time we came and remembered it as very hard. You start out by going down a long path through woods that are not cedars. It's an easy walk and you tend to forget that it's all downhill.

At the bottom you are confronted with a very steep path/trail that climbs back up. It is so narrow that you can only get one foot on the perchs.

The reward is that you get a lovely view of the Durance valley that you can't get to any other way.

We came to this climb and Carol took the lead. From below it looked like she had reached the top. Alas, there was one more climb to go.
