Lady Banks rose, garden, Roscoe
Sometimes I just have to sit in my garden to slow down, look around, and see what's right in front of me. When I first moved here, in 1993, the backyard was lawn, under trees, therefore, a dying lawn. When a patch died, I would either put a paving stone over it or plant a bush, tree or vine. One of the first things I planted was a Lady Banks rose. It is a vining, climbing rose that blooms once, in the Spring. It is then covered with tiny yellow flowers along all of it's stems, for about a week. This one little rose now covers three trellises (trelli?) and forms a tunnel. I hadn't realized how extensive it's reach had gotten.

Roses, garden.
All of the plants are tucking in for winter. The knockout roses are putting on their last show...maybe.
