Our first breakfast, of course, was at Chez Christine. It is a tea-room/bakery/lunch spot in the middle of Saignon. It seems to be the center of activity and gossip etc. of town. Their pastries are hard to describe. This little almond tart, called a chasseur I believe, is as good as it gets. Ultra light pastry around an almond filling that tastes freshly made (because it is!). Top it with the best cup of coffee in the Luberon and it's heaven.
