Moving sale.

Followers of this blog, both of you, will recognize the paintings on the outside. It was a nice little crafts store. My guess is that the landlord had an offer on the land, as it is near that giant condo development, and this is a lease-end move. They are actually moving to just down the road from us here, so I may go welcome them soon. It is such an iconic building and I'm sure it will be bulldozed and replaced soon. Progress.

Am I sensing a little bit of sarcasm in your last three posts about the condo thing?

Just a little. To me they look like "decent" run of the mill condos. But they have crowded every inch of the property and, according to Janie, who does a lot of building for Habitat for Humanity (they have an all women build) the construction looks very slapdash. Those two little businesses will probably soon be forced out and, I believe, the crafts store was , I am sure, let go. They are being touted as high-end units. I am skeptical.

High-end units? Really.

Would this be Germany (never mind that every inch of property is crowded here, too - but that's for another reason) I would think: okay, tattoo studio - loan office - cheap housings - craft store leaving ... trouble is around. But since they are not cheap but high-end ... let's have a look in three or four years.
