Kate at Delia's graduation.

This is my daughter Kate. Her daughter, Delia, was graduating from 5th grade. As you can see, she is the one of my three children who inherited the photography gene. She specializes in photographing bluegrass musicians and is very good at it.

Does she have a blog? ;-)

Now I am on my way to wikipedia to find out where the term "bluegrass" comes from ...

I grew up mowing bluegrass lawns on Long Island. Actually one lawn, ours. It is a lovely grass for a temperate climate. It has a bluish tint at a distance. Down here we make do with Bermuda or St. Augustine grass, which is very rough and crude. Not very good looking and awful to walk on. My old lawn here is now stones and bushes. I miss bluegrass, but not winter.
