Endangered grave, Saignon

The graveyards here are lovely and old. You can trace a family back through triumph and tragedy. There are too many children who died very young, and too many young men who gave their lives for their country. There are also couples who lived long lives together and died at ripe old ages.

The Saignon graveyard was full of little white signs from the Mayor's office, demanding payment of fees due. I don't know if they evict, hope not.

Some of the graves had not been tended for quite some time. There are probably no family members left in the area. Note the view over the valley from this spot. Nice place to spend eternity.
