The light here resonates strongly with what I saw in my brief time in Ruskin, FL, in 2012. The building materials reinforce that of course. What time of year was this? Which brings up, how much does it change? I know the seasonal change is smaller closer to the equator, but it's still there, right?
Carl, That shot was last week on a blindingly sunny day. We have had, for us, a very cloudy winter. So the sunny days are a blessing. The light here changes a lot over the course of a year. In the winter most of the moisture leaves the air and the light gets intense ,and the sun gets quite low in the sky. We are as far north as you can be in Florida so we have more seasonal change in temps and light. As we move into summer we get a lot of moisture in the air and the light gets softer. We are quite far west of where most people think we are. If you go due north from here you will hit Buffalo.

... and so the cable becomes a part of the organic world!
You're right, it does look organic, the way it goes through the wood. Is this how The Borg started?
A touch of Provence. The cable as well as the colors.

I love the light here.
