Early bloomers

Our azaleas usually bloom in early March. Here we are on July 31st and they are emerging. Yikes

 Our white azaleas. Spring took about four days to take us from dormant to plants on steroids. So, on the first day of Spring here is how it looks down here in Palm Valley. And no bugs!........yet.

These little fellers were planted in September and have been producing fruit for the last two months. Cherry tomatoes, and Romas, do better here than slicers or heirlooms. Too many insects, too much humidity and disease for the big boys. But these little sugar bombs love it. Every bite is like candy. I'' miss 'em.

I have just gotten a Sony RX100 III camera. It is a tiny camera with a 1" sensor of 20mp. A 1' sensor is about 1/4 the size of a full frame DSLR. It has a wonderful pop-up electric viewfinder and a Zeiss zoom, the equivalent of a 24mm-70mm lens on a full frame camera. I love it. It is easy to carry around, fitting into big pockets or lightly around my neck. It returns files that are clear, sharp and easy to work with in Photoshop. It's a keeper.

I don't know why, but I seem to be looking down a lot of late. The 45mm Olympus lens on the OM-D is the perfect size. This is probably the last of the Daturas for the year.
