Now here we have a mermaid, with a huge head, wings instead of arms, and a skin skirt going over her scales. Yikes.

 I love to photograph statues. They sit still. They can hold a pose forever. They never complain. And they take the light beautifully. They are great practice for portraits. This little nymph was being hit by very soft light on the second floor of the Cafe Alcazar. The food was great too.

Vandals, Jax Beach

This statue has been here, on Beach Blvd., for years. Twice in the last year it has been vandalized. This time they have security footage of the mouth-breathing loser who did it and of two buddies who came back to do more damage. Hope they get caught.
