This is a true farmer's market every week, even though there has been a large expansion in the years we've been coming here.
The heart of the market is still a large group of booths manned by either the farmer who grew the produce or his family. The produce looks as if it had just been picked and the packaging is simple paper bags.
I lived for a time in Vermont, between two family dairy farms. People who live the farm life have the same look the world over. The fact that a lot of the farmers we knew in Vermont were of French descent made these farmers look even more familiar.
